There’s nothing like a big beautiful batch of from-scratch 3 meat pasta sauce to top all of your favorite pasta dishes or freeze for recipes.
1poundbulk Italian sausage
1largegreen pepper, chopped
1(28 ounce) cancrushed tomatoes
1(29 ounce) cantomato sauce
1(6 ounce can)tomato paste
1tablespoon Italian seasoning
Spray slow cooker with cooking spray. In a large skillet over medium high heat stirring occasionally, cook sausage, ground beef, prosciutto, onions, and green pepper until sausage and ground beef are no longer pink, about 10 minutes; drain.
Place meat mixture in slow cooker. Add remaining ingredients and stir to combine.
Cook on low for 4-6 hours.
About 3 cups sauce equals 1 jar of store bought.
