These homemade oatmeal packets are higher in fiber & nutrition and lower in sugar & sodium than store bought! Quick, easy, and customizable.

Ingredients
  • 1/4cup oats
  • 1/2teaspoons chia seeds
  • 1/2teaspoon ground flax seed
  • 1teaspoon milk powder(optional)
  • 1tablespoon protein powder(optional)
  • 1packet Stevia(or 2 teaspoons sugar or brown sugar)
  • 1/4-1/2teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • pinch salt
  • 2-3tablespoons dried fruit, nuts, etc.
Instructions
  1. Add all ingredients to a small jar or zip top bag. Add 2-3 tablespoons of dried fruit, nuts, etc. To enjoy: Empty packet into heat-safe bowl. Add 1/3-1/2 cup bowling water. Let stand 3-7 minutes.
Recipe Notes

Standing time will depend on type of oats. Quick oats need to stand for about 3 minutes, old fashioned oats need about 5 minutes, and 3-minute steel cut oats need around 7 minutes.
