What is it about lemon and blueberry, or any berry for that matter, that makes them so incredibly delicious together?!
This dump cake is so easy to make it’s almost embarrassing. Seriously! If you can melt butter, you can make this dump cake.
Hubby loves dump cakes because they’re more like pie than cake. And he’s a huge fan of pies, especially fruit pies.
Since I’m not the greatest pie maker (shhh!) I make him a dump cake every now and then.
Of course, a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream on top is mandatory!
Start by spraying a 9 x 13 inch baking pan with cooking spray.
Then spread the pie filling in the bottom.
Next, sprinkle the cake mix over the top. Get it as even as you can but don’t smooth it out. I did that once and the butter immediately ran to the edges!
Then drizzle the butter over the top.
Bake your lemony blueberry pan of goodness for 50-55 minutes or until it’s lightly browned and bubbling around the edges.
Let it cool for at least 20-30 minutes to let the topping firm up.
Here are some other easy dump cakes that are just as easy and delicious as this one:
