You don’t need crazy skills or fancy equipment to turn out 2 dozen of these spook-tacular Halloween cupcakes! So easy the kids can help.
Make these adorable cupcakes with easy to find ingredients. Try one, two, or all three of these ideas.

We don’t all have mad decorating skills. And some of us don’t have all day to make cute decorations.
So when I saw all of the awesome decorations available, I wanted to share some ideas for the skill-impaired and time-crunched (like me).
I found all of these ingredients at my local Walmart. Most of them were with the Halloween items like the costumes, masks, etc.
I got the white frosting by the cake decorating supplies. I chose this frosting rather than a regular can because I can pipe it if I want to.
The cake mix and chocolate frosting are just your basic box mix and canned frosting. Use whatever your favorites are.
Start by putting some cute liners in your baking pan. There are tons to choose from.
Hubby got me this 24 cup muffin pan a while back so I can bake a whole box of batter at once. You may need to do a couple of batches if you don’t have this awesome pan.
Bake your cupcakes according to the instructions on the box. Tip: a big scoop makes filling go quicker.
While the cupcakes are baking, get the tombstones ready.
This graveyard kit and a can of chocolate frosting make these cupcakes super easy.
I opted for an easy “RIP”.
The food safe marker that’s included with the kit makes it easy. Tip: try to keep the writing near the top so it doesn’t get covered up by the frosting.
When the cupcakes are baked and completely cool, spread some with the chocolate frosting. Since I’m doing three different designs, I’m frosting 8 cupcakes.
Stick the tombstones in one end and sprinkle on a few bones. I used 5 on each because A) I’m OCD like that and B) I didn’t want to cram too many on. They give you plenty so feel free to add more.
Spread some white frosting on the cooled cupcakes, again I’m doing 8. Spray on the edible fake blood and stick a knife in the middle.
Tip: put the cupcakes on a sheetpan to contain the mess.
For the last, and much less gruesome design I chose this assortment of sprinkles. There are 6 different sprinkles and sanding sugars in there!
Spread or pipe some white frosting on the cooled cupcakes and douse in sprinkles.
Again, it’s best to put the cupcakes on a sheetpan so you don’t have sprinkles all over.
If you don’t have a piping bag, this set is inexpensive and easy to use.
