Although there are endless variations, this is the classic that everyone loves.
Three cheeses, ground dry mustard, and nutmeg give it it’s amazing flavor.
Just a small amount, I promise it won’t taste like mustard or pumpkin pie! They enhance and bring out the flavor of the cheese
Start by adding the pasta, water, butter, and salt to your Instant Pot.
Lock the lid and make sure the vent is in the “sealing” position. Press “manual “ and set the time for 5 minutes at high pressure.
It will take 10 or 15 minutes for the Instant Pot to come up to pressure. Then it will count down and beep when the time is done.
At the end of the cooking time, immediately turn the vent to “venting” position using a potholder or an oven mitt. When the pressure is fully released, carefully remove the lid and stir in the remaining ingredients.
Start with the evaporated milk.
Then stir in the rest.
Just look how creamy and yummy and gooey this looks.
Make this mac and cheese a meal by adding cooked ham or bacon and/or cooked veggies.
