Double chocolatey, peanut buttery, jumbo sized, super easy monster cookies made with a chocolate cake mix!
Did I mention there were M&M’s? And peanut butter chips? And oats and brown sugar?

Cake mix cookies are my favorite cookies to bake because they’re so easy and so yummy!
They’re one of the best shortcut recipes ever.
And they’re almost impossible to mess up! Who doesn’t love that?!
These cake mix cookies start, oddly ehough, with a cake mix. Weird, right?
They can be made with a yellow cake mx, but since I’m such a chocoholic I’m using a chocolate fudge cake mix.
The dough gets very stiff so don’t be a hero, use a mixer.
I love my KitchenAid for this, but a hand mixer works well, too.
Also, I’m using unsalted butter for these monster cookies. Salted butter, combined with the saltiness of the peanut butter, is just too much salt.
You can store any unused butter in the freezer for up to 6 months.
Start by beating the cake mix, brown sugar, butter, peanut butter, water, egg, and oats until they’re well combined.
Next, stir in M&M’s and peanut butter chips.
Take a flat bottomed measuring cup or a drinking glass and flatten the cookies a little.
Bake your monster cookies for 12-14 minutes or until edges are set. Take care not to over bake or they could dry out.
Cool the cookies for 10 minutes on the cookie sheet.
Then transfer them to wire racks to cool the rest of the way.
Look at all of that yummy goodness!
By the way, Hubby informs me that since these monster cookies have oats in them, they’re healthy!
